27th Rocky Mountain Koi Show
The Rocky Mountain Koi Club hosted the 27th Rocky Mountain Koi Show at the Douglas County Fairgrounds in Castlerock, Colorado. We were excited to have new show tanks from Poly Tanks. These 500 gallon hard sided tanks were perfect for viewing the Koi that our members brought to the show. We have over ten show tanks filled with over 100 Koi. Over the 2 day event, we have over 500 guests check out the sites.
We were fortunate to have Michelle Gravenish as our judge for the show. She spent Saturday viewing and judging the Koi. The highlight for the participants was getting a chance to have time on Sunday to have Michelle explain what made each Koi a winner!
During the show, we had a raffle for prizes and the club was selling their old show tanks - perfect for a quarantine tank!
Due to Covid restrictions we did not host a banquet, but we did have a silent auction for all in attendance at the show on Sunday. Lots of great items were auctioned off, including koi food, pond pumps and UV lights, and a beautiful Koi Quilt!
